Atlassian and Jira for media organisations in Australia
Media teams work to deadlines that do not move. We help media organisations design Jira around how their marketing, content and production teams work.

When your business teams need Jira to work better
Marketing, content and production teams take in requests from everywhere and plan against fixed dates. We work out how they take in, prioritise and approve work, then build intake forms, workflows, boards and reporting the team owns.
Jira for SBS's Marketing Division
How the division describes our Jira implementation.
“Senzo brought a clear, thoughtful approach to our Jira implementation, helping us move from complexity to clarity. They didn’t start with the tool, they began with focussing on our teams different needs to understand our operating model in the Marketing Division, making sure the solution was shaped around how we work. Their ability to get to the heart of our needs stood out. They asked the right questions, challenged our thinking, and helped us prioritise what would deliver the most value.”
When your Atlassian environment has become fragmented
Some media organisations run several Jira and Confluence sites that grew up separately. The symptoms: the same field defined three ways, dashboards that can't report across teams, and permissions that differ for no reason.
We plan and run consolidation through our Atlassian Cloud migration and consolidation service, starting with shared fields, permissions and apps.
What else shapes an Atlassian project in media
- Change around the scheduleOn Premium or Enterprise, the bundled monthly release track can be previewed in a sandbox a month earlier.
- Audience and subscriber dataWhere the Privacy Act applies, APP 11 requires reasonable steps to protect personal information; keep subscriber records in their own systems.
- Where your data sitsData residency offers Sydney for in-scope data; user accounts, logs and JSM customer accounts can't be pinned.
- AI is a separate questionResidency and AI processing differ; our Rovo and Atlassian AI page explains both.
Frequently asked questions
Can freelancers and agencies work in our Confluence?
Yes, as guests, with conditions. A guest can access one space at a time and sees its content unless restricted. On paid plans, everyone signing in via SSO needs a licence, so plan licences if freelancers use your identity provider.
Does Atlassian use our Jira and Confluence content to improve its AI?
It depends first on exclusions: government-associated organisations are excluded, so publicly owned ones should confirm with Atlassian Support. Otherwise metadata contribution is on for every plan, switchable off only on Enterprise, and in-app contribution can be opted out (Atlassian FAQ).
Should marketing teams use Jira or a separate marketing tool?
If the organisation already works in Jira and Confluence, keeping marketing there gives campaign work, creative requests and supporting teams one record. If a team relies on its current tool and Jira would need apps to match, compare that cost first.
What a first conversation should establish
Bring your sites, plans and renewal date, and we'll agree which teams are in scope and the first phase.
