Atlassian for sports organisations in Australia
Clubs, codes and venues run two service operations at once: member and fan support that copes in fixture, renewal and ticket-release weeks, and a separate, permission-controlled service for staff.

Atlassian for both sides of a club
Senzo, an Australian Atlassian Platinum Solution Partner, implements all three, and plans the work around your season.
- Customer Service ManagementMember and fan support, with a dedicated support experience.
- Jira Service ManagementInternal service for IT, facilities and people requests.
- ConfluenceThe knowledge base behind both.

What moving a club's support operation to Atlassian involves
Depending on where you start, the work can cover four things.
- The helpdesk you have nowWhich channels, queues and reports the team relies on, and how much ticket history to bring across.
- The systems around itMembership, ticketing, payments, marketing and phone platforms each hold part of a member's record.
- Member dataPick the master system before the first import; on former Jira Service Management sites, CSV import only fills existing profiles.
- CutoverWe plan the switch channel by channel and time it around your season.
What shapes an Atlassian project in sport
- Member data is personal informationUnder OAIC guidance, clubs turning over more than $3 million are covered, as are smaller clubs that provide a health service and hold health information.
- Where member records sitData residency documentation doesn't list Customer Service Management; ask Atlassian to confirm in writing what can be pinned.
- AI agent resolutions are billed separatelyFrom 3 December 2026, the AI agent is billed per resolved inquiry, with no included allowance.
- Release timingCustomer Service Management isn't listed for the bundled release track.
Plan around the fixture, not the financial year
Senzo’s practical guidance- 01Cut over in a quiet stretchStay clear of the week renewals open or a major ticket release goes on sale.
- 02Write knowledge firstStart with the questions that surge (renewals, seat changes, ticket transfers, refunds), each with an owner; an AI agent answers from it.
- 03Keep member support apart from staffSeparate spaces and permissions keep welfare and medical matters out of member-facing agents' view.
- 04Provision seasonal agents through groupsOn monthly subscriptions, "Removing seats mid-cycle does not reduce your bill", so remove end-of-season agents before the period's last day.
- 05Freeze configuration in finals weeksHold your own configuration changes while finals run.

Frequently asked questions
Which Atlassian product fits member and fan support?
Atlassian describes Customer Service Management as "a purpose-built, specialized solution for external customer service", and says Jira Service Management "was built for employee support and operations teams" (Atlassian).
Do we buy them separately?
No. Customer Service Management is "included at no additional cost with Service Collection Standard and Premium plans", and each Service Collection user licence covers both. Members raising requests don't need a licence; our licensing page covers plans.
How do we control AI in our support operation, and is our data used to train Atlassian's AI?
They are two separate settings. Activating AI decides which apps use it, and an AI agent answers members only once you publish it. Data contribution covers what Atlassian uses to improve its apps; its FAQ sets exclusions and opt-outs by plan.
