Senzo

Atlassian Managed Services in Australia

Senzo provides ongoing Atlassian administration for Australian organisations without a dedicated administrator, and for internal teams that need specialist depth or more hands. It sits beside Atlassian Support; it does not replace it.

When organisations bring Senzo in

When Atlassian administration has become a side job or a bottleneck.

  • The person who set Jira up has moved on
  • Requests for projects, workflows and fields queue, each configured differently
  • A project finished, the team left, and nobody owns what was built
  • Licences, apps and permissions haven't been reviewed since go-live

In-house administrator, managed service or ad hoc help

Three common ways to run an Atlassian platform, and when each fits.

What good Jira and Confluence administration involves

Much of the work is preventive, pairing what Atlassian documents with our practical guidance.

What the managed service covers

Training and structural Confluence work have their own pages.

  • Agreed in writingScope, request routes and monthly hours; a common starting point is 10 hours a month.
  • You own the prioritiesA named person orders the backlog and approves anything beyond the agreed hours.
  • Day-to-day administrationUsers, permissions, configuration, new projects, automation and apps, via Slack, Teams or a queue.
  • Reviews you can seePart of the hours goes to health reviews; a monthly summary shows where the hours went.
  • Larger work scoped separatelyMigrations and new service desks are approved as their own work. Vendor issues are escalated with you.

Health checks

A structured review, ending in a short ordered list: fixes, things to leave, and your decisions.

  • Unused custom fields, schemes and workflows
  • Who holds each admin role, and why
  • Permissions, apps and failing automation rules
  • Active users against licensed seats

Frequently asked questions

Is a managed service the same as Atlassian Support?

No. Atlassian opens its support to "system administrators and account holders". A managed service acts as, or alongside, that administrator, and decides when a problem belongs with Atlassian.

What support does our Atlassian plan include?

It depends on the plan. As at October 2026, Atlassian lists Standard Cloud support as "9/5 regional", Premium as "24/7 for high impact issues" and Enterprise as "24/7 for all technical issues".

Do we need a full-time Jira administrator?

Not necessarily. How often your configuration changes, and how many teams rely on it, matter more than headcount.

Can you work alongside our own administrator?

Yes. Your administrator keeps ownership and priorities; Senzo adds capacity for configuration, reviews and specialist questions, not a second set of rules.

How do support hours and response targets work?

Separately. Senzo's hours and any response targets are set in your service agreement, not a standard tier. Atlassian's support comes with your plan, and urgent platform incidents go to Atlassian.

What access do you need?

Administrator access suited to the work, including a role that can raise Atlassian Support cases. You keep ownership of the Atlassian organisation, its billing and its data.

What if we hire an administrator later?

Then the service steps down or hands over. Our changes are written up in your own Confluence, so a new administrator gets the history. An advisory role is optional.

Who owns your platform, how much it changes, and whether a managed service, health check or hire fits.
