Atlassian Cloud Migration in Australia, run by people who used to work there

Data Center is on the clock. We're an Australian Atlassian partner built around a core of ex-Atlassians, and we've delivered full Data Center to Cloud migrations end to end.

The 2029 deadline

Data Center is ending. The question is whether you migrate on your terms or Atlassian's.

Atlassian has announced the end of the Data Center era, with support ending in 2029. Enterprise migrations take months of assessment, app remediation and staged cutover, and partner calendars will fill as the deadline approaches. Teams that plan in 2026 and 2027 migrate calmly and capture Atlassian's migration incentives. Where are you on the runway?

What a migration with us includes

One team, end to end, with no handoffs to a bench.

  • Pre-migration assessmentYour setup, apps and integrations reviewed: risks, a realistic timeline, an indicative cost and a business case.
  • Migration assessmentThe first paid step, usually 8 to 15 days: a detailed runbook and a fixed scope commitment.
  • App audit and remediationThe Jira Cloud Migration Assistant doesn't move everything. We've remediated complex stacks like ScriptRunner and Scaffolding.
  • Data migration and staged cutoverJira, Confluence and JSM moved in planned waves, with rehearsal runs before the real thing.
  • Data residency and complianceAustralian data residency from day one, and compliance positioning for regulated industries.
  • Licensing through the transitionCredits, rebates and co-funded programs, with a cloud agreement structured so the migration pays for part of itself.Learn more
  • Hypercare and embedTraining, documentation and post-go-live support, so your team owns the platform, not us.

Why ex-Atlassian matters for a migration

Most partners learn migrations from documentation. Our core of former Atlassians ran licensing deals and supported enterprise customers from inside Atlassian.

  • The toolingWe know what the migration tooling handles, and what it doesn't, before it becomes your problem.
  • The commercialsWe know how cloud pricing, credits and incentives really work, and how to make them work for you.
  • The peopleWe know who to call inside Atlassian for an answer, an escalation or co-funding.
How we work

How we run an Atlassian cloud migration

  1. 01

    Assess

A free assessment of instances, apps, users, integrations and data volumes, and the business process behind them.

  2. 02

    Plan

A staged migration plan and a business case, benchmarked conservatively, saying what we don't claim.

  3. 03

    Migrate

Fixed scope where possible, rehearsed before it's real, and we stay accountable until every cutover succeeds.

  4. 04

    Embed

Hypercare, training and handover, so the platform is yours, not ours.

Australian data residency

Can our data stay in Australia? Yes.

Atlassian Cloud supports Australian data residency, and we configure it as standard for banks, government agencies and anyone with data-sovereignty obligations.

Frequently asked questions

How long does an Atlassian cloud migration take?

It depends on data volume and app complexity. A straightforward instance can move in weeks; enterprise migrations run in staged waves over several months. The free assessment gives you a realistic timeline for your instance.

What happens to our Marketplace apps?

Some have cloud equivalents, some need remediation, some should be retired. The migration assistant won't move most app data, which is where migrations go wrong, so our assessment starts with a full app audit.

What does a migration cost?

Less than staying, in most cases, once Atlassian's migration credits and incentives are applied. The assessment produces a real number for your environment, alongside what your current Data Center path costs through 2029.

Do we have to migrate before 2029?

Atlassian has announced the end of Data Center support in 2029. You don't have to move tomorrow, but assessment to cutover takes months, and planning now keeps the migration on your terms.

Can our data stay in Australia?

Yes. Atlassian Cloud supports Australian data residency and we configure it as standard where required, including for government agencies and regulated financial-services organisations.
